The fellowship’s promise
Code of Conduct
Be a good human. Make room for others. Leave the real-world cruelty outside the realm.
The short version
You can play a villain. You cannot use FableRealms to hurt, harass or exploit real people. Serious or repeated abuse can result in a permanent ban.
Respect the person behind the character
Treat other people with dignity. Disagree with ideas without attacking the person. Bullying, targeted insults, threats, stalking, repeated unwanted contact and sexual harassment have no place here. Stop when someone asks you to stop. ‘It’s what my character would do’ is never an excuse to mistreat another player.
Everyone deserves a seat at the table
Do not use hate speech, slurs, dehumanising language or discriminatory behaviour based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age. Do not promote violent extremist groups or recruit for them. Welcome new players and respect different levels of experience and accessibility needs.
Consent comes before the story
Agree on tone, themes and boundaries before play. Use content warnings for sensitive material and respect lines, veils and requests to pause or leave. Never pressure someone to explain a boundary or participate in uncomfortable scenes. Consent can be withdrawn. Keep public profiles, listings and shared community spaces free of sexually explicit material and graphic shock content. Never share sexual content involving minors or non-consensual intimate imagery.
Protect each other’s privacy
Do not post someone else’s personal details, private conversations, account information or location without permission. Ask before recording, streaming or publicly sharing a session and respect anyone who opts out. Do not impersonate another person, a moderator or FableRealms staff. Keep passwords and access keys private.
Play fairly. Build honestly
Do not scam people, send phishing links, distribute malware, exploit the platform or deliberately disrupt a campaign. Do not use bots, spam, repeated promotions or unsolicited messages to overwhelm community spaces. Be clear about any paid game’s price and expectations. Report security problems privately through the contact form; do not exploit them against other users.
Respect the people who create
Only upload or share material you have the right to use. Do not distribute pirated books, stolen artwork or other people’s paid content. Credit creators where required and respect their licences. Do not falsely claim someone else’s work as your own or misrepresent the origin of material you share.
Be a good host and a good guest
Set clear expectations for your group, communicate schedule changes and make room for others to participate. Respect a host’s reasonable table rules and a player’s decision to leave. Table rules can add boundaries, but cannot override these guidelines. Do not retaliate against someone for raising a concern or making a good-faith report.
Respect moderation decisions
Follow moderator instructions and do not evade a restriction or ban by creating another account, using someone else’s account or asking others to act for you. Do not organise pile-ons against players or moderators. You can question a decision respectfully through the contact form; harassment and repeated pressure will not change it.
Something wrong? Tell us.
Use the contact form and choose “Community safety & reporting”. Include relevant usernames, links, dates and a clear account of what happened. Preserve evidence privately; do not repost harmful material or organise public accusations.
You do not need to confront someone before reporting. We use reports to assess concerns and may ask for more information. We cannot promise absolute confidentiality or share another person’s private account details. If there is immediate danger, contact your local emergency services; this form is not an emergency service.
Clear boundaries. Real consequences.
Depending on severity, context and previous behaviour, we may remove content, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend an account or permanently ban someone. Serious violations can lead to an immediate ban without a warning. We may also act on conduct outside the platform when it directly threatens the safety of our community.
If you believe a decision was made in error, use the contact form to request a review. Include your account details, the decision and any relevant context. Do not create another account to bypass it.
